Can I change my auto insurance from CA to WA with CA driver's license?

I have one question about auto insurance.
I saw geico.com have this function. But I don't know if it is working for me .

My situation is :
I have CA license and CA license plate. But my vehicle is in WA now because I am working as a contractor here. I will stay here for 1 year. Can I change my auto insurance from CA to WA with CA driver's license?
It seems Geico have this function. But I want to know how it works for me. Thanks!
