I have both Health Ins and Medical Coverage thru my Auto Insurance?

I was in a car accident. Can I have my doctor bill my Health Ins Coverage so he can get paid faster and continue my care. If I bill the Auto ins it may take years before they settle and my doctor is left holding the bag until the claim settles. Can my health ins pay then they can go after the auto insurance? Is there a TX state law that says who should be primary?
